Quinton Cannataci

Graduate of Architecture

Qualifications

Bachelor of Architecture

As a Graduate of Architecture, I prepare and deliver accurate documentation to clients, consultants, authorities, tenderers, and builders within specified timeframes. Additionally, I assist the management team with various tasks. My responsibilities include understanding project briefs, creating project documentation, adhering to schedules and budgets, and incorporating information from consultants and suppliers into our drawings.

Career Journey: My architecture journey began with a transformative experience at a small practice in 2012, igniting my passion for the field. After high school, I pursued a building design diploma at TAFE Ultimo, mastering skills in Revit, Lumion, and ArchiCAD by 2016. Accepted into the University of Newcastle’s bachelor’s program, I then transferred to UNSW Sydney and completed my degree in 2019. Following a brief break in 2020, I started a master’s in architecture at UNSW in 2021, deferring due to COVID-19. Resuming studies at the University of Newcastle in 2022, I joined a Central Coast firm before joining Webber Architects in Sydney in 2024, where I focus on commercial and hospitality projects.

Passion and Achievements: I enjoy the dynamic nature of the architecture industry, where no two days are the same. Collaborating with clients, planners, engineers, and builders to bring ideas to life is incredibly fulfilling. The process of transforming a sketch into a 3D model and then seeing it constructed on site is rewarding. Although I am still new at Webber Architects, I have been involved in implementing AI in the office and working on various projects across NSW.

Personal Interests and Hobbies: Outside of work, I enjoy walks, long drives, swimming, and working out at the gym. I am also finishing my master’s studies in architecture. My personal interests include technology, rugby league, and movies. I enjoy listening to podcasts on topics such as personal finance, architecture, and health.

Future Goals: In the future, I hope to successfully complete a project I have worked on and gain a deeper understanding of current and future construction techniques. My ultimate goal is to make significant contributions to the urban fabric of the cities I work in, enhancing the quality of life for their inhabitants through thoughtful and innovative architectural design.
