Qualifications
Bachelor of Architecture
As a Graduate Architect, I assist in the creation of design concepts, developing architectural drawings and models using Revit, prepare technical drawings and construction documents, and ensure coordination of documents between consultants.
Career Journey: Before beginning my formal studies at the University of Newcastle, I worked alongside a local artist at Singapore Biennale 2016, drafting plans and exploring the intersection of architecture and art. This experience ignited my passion for how these two fields intertwine. During a summer break, I expanded my skillset by working as an Architect’s assistant in Singapore on an infrastructure project. After completing my degree, I joined a Newcastle-based practice, where I continue to hone my skills and contribute to diverse architectural projects.
Passion and Achievements: I’ve always been fascinated by the relationship between people and architecture. I firmly believe that architecture thrives through human connection, and my work is driven by collaboration with clients, consultants, and colleagues. I’ve been fortunate to be part of significant projects, including the outdoor deck at Lambton Park Hotel, Sacred Heart Central School’s primary block, and 339 Morpeth Road from tender to construction. These projects reflect my dedication to turning creative ideas into tangible, functional spaces.
Personal Interests: Outside of work, I enjoy board games, video games, and collectible card games. I’m also a fan of mini woodworking projects, which allow me to exercise my creativity in a different medium.
Future Goals: My primary goal is to become a registered Architect. In addition, I’m particularly keen to deepen my knowledge of heritage and adaptive reuse architecture, applying these principles to future projects within the office
